Dr. Rima DeFatta began her schooling at the University of Pittsburgh in 2001 with getting her bachelor degree in Biology. She stayed in Pennsylvania to pursue her masters degree at the Temple University School of Medicine which she completed in 2005.
Dr. DeFatta then served as an Intern for the Department of Surgery (2005-2006) and Resident for the Division of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (2006–2010) at the Albany Medical College. From 2010-2011, she was a Fellow at the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Drexel University American Institute for Voice and Ear Research in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
In her spare time, Rima enjoys teaching, research, traveling, pencil and charcoal drawing, and cooking.
