Dr. Berschback began his schooling at Miami University (Oxford, OH) where he got his degree in Microbiology in June 2003. He received his doctorate from Wayne State University School of Medicine (Detroit, MI) in June 2007. He traveled to Chicago, IL where he completed both his General Surgery Internship and Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program at Northwestern University/McGaw Medical Center. In 2012-2013, he went back to Cincinnati, OH for the Mary S. Stern Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship.
Dr. Berschback's personal philosophy is to treat every patient with the same dignity, respect, and thoughtfulness that he would offer to one of his family members or close friends.
His specialties are: hand, wrist, and microvascular surgery, including finger revascularizations and replantations for amputated digits.
In his spare time, John enjoys playing multiple sports including baseball, soccer, and all racquet and paddle sports. He plays the piano and enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children.
